We are grateful to have men and women involved in the life of the church who serve faithfully under the leadership of the minister and elders mentioned below.

Minister - Rev Iain Macritchie

Iain was born and brought up in Stornoway, although his family are from Skigersta, Ness – a place that is close to Iain’s heart.

Before training to be a minster, Iain was a primary school teacher for twelve years. He came to know Jesus as his Lord and Saviour in 2005 while teaching in Leverburgh, South Harris.  Iain then went on to serve as a principal teacher in Laxdale School in Stornoway and then latterly in Lionel School in Ness.

Iain was ordained and inducted as minister to his first charge, the congregation of Pairc in September 2018.  Since then he has fully integrated into the community of South Lochs and tries to be involved in the life of the community as much as possible. Iain loves people and believes that building  meaningful relationships within the community is a crucial part of his ministry.

Iain lives in the manse with his dog Dileas and two cats, Bonnie and Ballach.  In his spare time Iain loves nothing more than to head out to his wee Àirigh (hut) on the Ness moor.
